SEMPRA CISTERRA HEADQUARTERS

AMG was contracted to turn-key the abatement, demolition, and mass excavation to make way for the new SDG&E Sempra Cisterra Headquarters building in downtown San Diego. The existing 3-story historical building located at the southwest corner of the property was incorporated into the new design for the Cisterra building. AMG had the task of installing engineered shoring and bracing and surgically sawcut and remove a large portion of the existing building. Simultaneously, AMG began the mass excavation and export of approximately 70,000 CY which included about 18,000 tons of contaminated soil being properly handled, profiled, and hauled off-site to proper landfills. Approximately 4,400 tons of concrete and asphalt were recylced resulting in a total job LEED recycle rate of 93%.
